Job Opportunity: Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician

Role Overview:

Powertech Resourcing is a multidisciplinary commissioning organisation providing services to the energy and resources sectors throughout Australia.

We are seeking a Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician with Isolation experience to join our team in the Oil and Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform isolation verifications and implementation
  • General function tests
  • Protection relays
  • SIS/ICS, inputs and outputs to MCC cubicles, inter-trip signals between LV and LV circuit breakers, etc.
  • Battery autonomy record sheets
  • Battery charge / discharge record sheets
  • Lighting circuits record sheets
  • Switchgear operation and switching
  • Voltage and frequency control
  • Active and reactive load sharing between microgrid systems (PV (simulated) and BESS)
  • BESS management (charging and discharging rates)
Requirements:
  • Essential: WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
  • Cert III or IV Instrumentation
  • Trade Certificate
  • CPR / LVR certificates
  • First Aid (desirable)
  • HV Switching Certificate
  • Previous Hydrogen project exposure desirable, but not essential
