Powertech Resourcing is a multidisciplinary commissioning organisation providing services to the energy and resources sectors throughout Australia.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently accepting applications for a Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician with Isolation Authority experience to join our client's team in the Oil and Gas industry.

Details:

  • Role: Leading Hand Electrical Commissioning Technician
  • Responsibilities: Performing isolation verifications, implementation, and hands-on electrical commissioning works as required.
  • Roster: 2x1 (travel in on first day & out on last day of swing)
  • POH: Perth, with flights covered from any capital city in Australia

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing isolation verifications and implementation
  • General function testing
  • Protection relays
  • SIS/ICS, inputs and outputs to MCC cubicles, inter-trip signals between LV and LV circuit breakers
  • Battery autonomy record sheets
  • Lighting circuits record sheets
  • Switchgear operation and switching
  • Voltage and frequency control
  • Active and reactive load sharing between microgrid systems (PV and BESS)
  • BESS management (charging and discharging rates)

Experience, skills, and qualifications:

  • WA – Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
  • Cert III or IV Instrumentation
  • CPR / LVR certificates
  • HV Switching Certificate
