Key Financial Position

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare end-of-month management accounts, conduct financial analysis, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, oversee overseas supplier payments, and handle foreign currency transactions.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including debt collection and credit control.
  • Maintain tax compliance, including BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT, and company tax obligations.
  • Ensure accurate Fixed Asset and Financing Registers, reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee insurance renewals, claims, and coverage adequacy.
  • Review contract terms, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business planning and proposals.
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff members.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of finance management experience, preferably in import/wholesale trading environments.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Leadership experience or supervising staff.
