Internal Communications Coordinator

About the role

This is a pivotal position that requires collaboration across various teams within the organization to oversee internal communication with team members. The successful candidate will provide strategic input to drive and support the implementation of trade plans and communicate other impactful activities affecting store operations.

The role works closely with key business leaders to ensure operational direction in communications aligns with business strategy, guaranteeing communications meet brand standards and are linked to the company's overall vision and purpose.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on engaging teams with activity, trading, and change initiatives
  • Developing and producing consistent, effective communication materials
  • Championing store activity planning to deliver initiatives efficiently
  • Collaborating with Trade Planning, Marketing, Merchandise, and Store Operations teams to manage change initiatives and national rollouts
  • Ensuring all activities are planned effectively, monitoring progress and timelines with updates to owners and operational teams
  • Fostering partnerships with Central Operations, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Merchandise, Supply Chain, and HR to maintain aligned messaging

We seek a seasoned communications professional experienced in crafting internal and business communications. Key to success in this role is the ability to partner proactively with relevant stakeholders, providing advice, managing expectations, and influencing outcomes.

Requirements include:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A high degree of attention to detail, along with strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments with adaptability to changing priorities
  • A high level of discretion when handling confidential information
  • Prior retail communications experience is highly desirable
