Job Title: Internal Communications Specialist

About this role:

The North East Link Project is a major infrastructure project in Victoria, Australia. This position plays a key role in providing internal communications support to the project team.

  • Coordinate project-wide Town Halls, monthly newsletters, and intranet updates to engage stakeholders.
  • Lead internal events including Town Hall meetings, guest speakers, and webinars to enhance collaboration.
  • Maintain supplier lists and research new suppliers as needs arise to ensure timely services.
  • Undertake administrative or support duties as identified to optimize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication materials such as work notifications, fact sheets, publications, presentations, and display materials to align with project goals.
  • Produce clear and concise content for the intranet to inform stakeholders about construction progress.
  • Collaborate with designers to update intranet assets and branding to reflect project developments.
  • Coordinate photography and videography shoots to capture visual storylines.
  • Work with the Communications Team to approve communication materials and ensure consistency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree qualified in Communications, Media, or Journalism.
  • Experience in the construction industry highly valued for understanding project dynamics.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
