Our company is seeking a skilled engineer to join our water team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

The role involves reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modeling, overseeing drafting, and preparing reports and specifications.

We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, who can collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and deliver solutions on and off site.

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment facilities, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.
  • Reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modeling.
  • Overseeing drafting and preparing reports and specifications.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering solutions on and off site.
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
Skill Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and codes.
  • Ability to identify project and design-related risks.
  • Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects.
  • A commitment to working safely and within our HSEQ systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
