We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at St Joseph's Nursing Home. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for driving the engagement and participation of residents in a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lifestyle care plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Assess and review the effectiveness of our lifestyle program, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver activities that promote physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social wellbeing.
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, fostering a sense of community and social connection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external providers and stakeholders to enhance our lifestyle program.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to lifestyle and leisure activities.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care National Quality Standards and ability to apply them in practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
