Early Childhood Educator Role Overview


Yarra City Council is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement high-quality education and care programs that meet the needs of children and align with legislative requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the center's leadership team to create inclusive and engaging environments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child development theories, curriculum approaches, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Build strong relationships with families, children, and community members to support their involvement in children's learning and development.


Requirements


  • Minimum qualification of Certificate 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, EpiPen, and Asthma Management qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in early childhood education.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Experience using Xplor (or similar online education platform) (desirable).


Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $35.91-$38.64 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation benefits.
