Job Highlights

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at a 60-place centre in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. This is a full-time, permanent position with a maximum of 38 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality early childhood education programs that cater to the emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual needs of children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Lead and guide a team of educators to provide high-quality early childhood education and care.
  • Work in accordance with the National Quality Standard, the Early Years Learning Framework, and the Code of Ethics.
  • Implement and uphold the centre's philosophy and policies while undertaking all duties.
  • Facilitate the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the centre.
  • Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education/Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved).
  • Proven experience in a similar role or demonstrated natural ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of DET Regulations, National Quality Standards, Frameworks, and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection.
  • Passionate about Early Childhood Development and the importance of high-quality Early Years programs.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday – Friday.
  • Current First Aid/CPR qualification.
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
  • Current Working With Children Check or VIT registration.
