Sterile Equipment Processor

As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the processing of medical instruments and equipment used in hospitals. This involves working across a 24/7 roster to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
The role requires strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to learn new processes and tasks quickly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in Central Sterilising Services (CSS), although on-the-job training and support will be provided. Additionally, opportunities are available for further education, including a Certificate IV in Sterilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontamination and sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment
- Issuing of sterile instruments and equipment to hospital wards and departments
- Maintenance of high standards of patient care and safety
To succeed in this position, candidates will require:
- Good communication skills, including fluent English written and oral skills
- The ability to learn new processes and tasks quickly and efficiently
- Flexibility and availability to work a rotating roster across 24/7
- Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in previous employment
