About the Opportunity
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and coordinate courses in plant pathology, agronomy, and related fields;
  • Conduct high-quality research and publications in plant pathology and related areas;
  • Secure funding for research initiatives through grants and other means;
  • Supervise students in honours and higher degree by research programs;
  • Develop curriculum and assessment strategies for teaching and learning;
  • Participate in school and faculty committees as required.

Requirements:

  • A PhD or equivalent in plant science;
  • Strong research track record in plant pathology as evidenced by national and international collaborations and publications;
  • Experience in teaching plant pathology to undergraduate and postgraduate students;
  • Proven ability to secure research funding through competitive grants;
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Valid driver's license.
