Land Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Powerlink Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing subject matter advice and expertise in relation to land and acquisition.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on land acquisition and negotiation strategies for the delivery, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of Powerlink's infrastructure and assets.
- Develop and implement effective acquisition and negotiation frameworks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and acquire land for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine land values and negotiate fair compensation with landholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with landholders, developers, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Degree-level qualification in Valuation, Property, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a similar or related role, with a strong understanding of land matters, compensation principles, and negotiation frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation requirements, including the various Land Acts.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the scoping and maturing early stages of infrastructure development projects.
