About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Approvals Specialist to join our team at Powerlink Queensland. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on project and land approvals matters, including town planning and environmental approvals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with project approvals.
  • Lead the coordination of external specialist consultancy advice for projects, including environmental studies and corridor selection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landholders, developers, and government agencies.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in Town Planning, Environment, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a similar or related role.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Environmental approvals, Planning regulatory approvals, relevant legislation and Acts.
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic land use planning and Land Use Planning policies, legislation and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop strategic property objectives and project plans based on relevant inputs including external scans and vision/strategy material.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement communication and interpersonal skills.
