We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving innovation and applying cutting-edge technologies in a purpose-driven organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and testing data movement, transformation, and visualisation processes to support ORS's allied health services.
  • Building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines to support decision-making in disability services, workplace rehabilitation, and mental health care.
  • Analysing data to identify trends and insights that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Developing custom visualisations using Power BI, ensuring insights are aligned with ORS's goals.
  • Sourcing and managing data from multiple platforms to build a reliable clinical and operational excellence infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that align with business needs and drive positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in data engineering, particularly with ETL/ELT processes and large data systems.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Azure Stack, including Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage.
  • Strong skills in SQL and experience with data modelling, warehousing, and real-time analytics-ready data formats (e.g., Parquet, Delta).
  • Expertise in creating impactful Power BI visualisations and understanding cloud infrastructure, data security, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience with data from platforms like Oracle, Ingres, and SQL Server and with DevOps tools (Git, Visual Studio, VS Code).
