
Senior Contract and Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Contract Specialist / Quantity Surveyor to manage and coordinate the project's contractual aspects on a high-profile mining construction project.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a site-based team environment
- Experience in performing Quantity Surveyor duties in a site-based role, including chairing meetings and assessing progress achieved vs cost measurement and payment certificates
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment
- Agreeing Bill of Quantities rates and final accounts
- Completing site surveillance reports and diaries and reviewing contractor's progress reports
- Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts
- Processing claims for variations and additional entitlement
- Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims
- Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations
- Provide advice to the Project Management team and commercial team on contractual issues
