Welder and Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Metal Fabricator to join our team. Your main duties will include MIG welding, oxy cutting, grinding, use of machinery associated with metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All types of welding mild and stainless steel
  • Working from schematics and plans
  • Fabrication of parts from raw materials
  • Confidently working on fine, detailed jobs
  • Perform general fabrication such as material cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform general duties around the workshop including preparing metal components and cutting using all types of equipment available.
  • Read cutting lists.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
  • Utilizing your strong TIG/MIG welding skills to create precise and durable welds.
  • Assembling components with precision and attention to detail.
  • Applying your expertise in drilling, machining, and other relevant trade skills.
  • Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of fabrication processes, particularly MIG welding for mild steel brackets and fittings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Relevant trade qualification
