The role:-

We have an outstanding opportunity for Welder/Fabricator to join the team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your leadership experience whilst progressing your career.

Major duties and responsibilities of the Welder/Fabricator

 Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate custom metal parts and structures.

 Carry out layout, cutting, fitting, and assembly of metal components.

 Maintain and repair, structural frames, and assemblies.

 Collaborate with the wider production and engineering teams to refine workflows and resolve technical challenges.

 Interpreting drawings, blueprints, and specifications for job requirements.

 Various forms of metal fabrication work including operating drills, presses, metal cutting machinery and a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.

 Examining finished welded products and smoothing, cleaning, polishing, grinding, and chiseling material where required.

 Work in teams to manufacture, assemble and repair waste equipment.

 Fabricate, weld and install metal components and structures to the highest safety and quality standards.

 Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures.

 Collaborate with your project managers, engineers and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

 Prepare and cut metal surfaces through grinding and other methods.

 Weld components with accuracy, ensuring proper bead, penetration, and alignment.

 Maintain high quality standards and check finished work for defects.

 Maintain and troubleshoot welding tools and machinery.

Requirements -

 Diploma or Degree in Welding with previous experience of 1 years in a fast-paced environment.

 Able to work well with team, and also independently.

 Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends

 Good organizational and communication skills

 Permanent Residents or citizens of Australia will be preferred.
