Role Profile

Our organization is expanding its range of supports for clients by adding positive behaviour support.

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner with Proficient or Advanced level suitability who can provide evidence-based, person-centred, and outcome-focused positive behaviour support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification of needs through assessment and planning with NDIS participants, families, and/or carers
  • Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans within complex settings
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Ensure individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths
  • Build knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

Requirements:

  • Current Proficient or Advanced level suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
