General Manager Opportunity

The General Manager is a leadership role responsible for guiding the organisation's workforce, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and adaptability. Working closely with councillors, you will provide strategic advice and deliver on decisions that shape the future of towns and villages across the region.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of around 180 people
  • Providing strategic advice to councillors
  • Delivering on decisions that impact the community

The ideal candidate will have strong financial and organisational management skills, as well as the ability to engage constructively with councillors and provide sound, balanced advice. You will also need to build trust with staff, foster a positive workplace culture and represent the Council with confidence and credibility to government, business and the wider community.


Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management or leadership
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles
  • Ability to work constructively with Councillors, community members and external stakeholders
