Senior Mental Health Director

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive excellence in patient care and team performance.

The successful candidate will lead a nationally renowned mental health service, providing comprehensive care across 203 beds and day programs.

  • Foster exceptional experiences for patients, staff, and partners through championing patient-centred care and culture development.
  • Drive strategic partnerships and cultivate relationships with primary care, government, and public hospital leaders to enhance service delivery, integration, and reputation.
  • Build high-performing teams and lead adaptive, values-driven teams with a strong internal talent pipeline.
  • Oversee quality improvement, accreditation, and experience outcomes while demonstrating a business-savvy approach.
  • Take accountability for financial performance, service outcomes, and key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, nursing, or allied health.
  • Significant experience in senior healthcare leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding business results in operating a private mental health service.
  • A track record of developing growth-focused initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a positive culture and develop teams.
  • Ability to lead strategic development, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience in leading complex negotiations and business development initiatives.
  • Commitment to quality healthcare delivery and understanding of ACHS/National Standards requirements.
