We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining large properties, including lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas.

Job Description

This is a casual position working approximately 12-15 hours per week, with additional hours during summer to accommodate increased grounds maintenance. The role involves performing general groundskeeping duties, such as mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and managing sprinkler systems.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high standard of presentation across the site, including garden beds, lawns, and play yards
  • Performing general handyman tasks, including patching, painting, replacing light globes, basic repairs, and general labouring
  • Conducting regular inspections of all boarding areas and addressing maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintaining and cleaning all pathways, grates, and outdoor common areas, ensuring they are free from rubbish, weeds, and debris
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in acreage maintenance, including the use of zero-turn and ride-on mowers, lawn care, whipper snipping, pruning, and weed management
  • Proficiency with basic maintenance tools and equipment (e.g. hand tools, leaf blowers)
  • Experience performing routine repairs and general upkeep tasks (e.g. fixing gates, doors, lights)
  • Familiarity with WHS standards and safe handling/disposal of chemicals
