About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Warehouse Operator to join our high-performing trade store in South Geelong, VIC. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.

Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and picking plasterboard orders, handling inventory counts, and verifying the accuracy of customer orders. You will also be responsible for safely moving materials, including manual handling of products and adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards in the warehouse.
  • Prepare and pick plasterboard orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle inventory counts and verify the accuracy of customer orders.
  • Safely load and unload materials from vehicles.
  • Make-up orders of Plasterboard and associated products daily.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and logistic providers/drivers.
  • Assist with stock take / inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Conduct prestart checks on site machinery.
  • Perform general warehouse duties and maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • A current forklift license is advantageous or willingness to obtain.
  • Physical fitness and comfort with manual handling.
  • Ability to handle plasterboard sheets and associated products.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Availability for early morning shifts to support timely order fulfillment and customer needs.
