**Job Opportunity: Advanced Trainee Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Trainee to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department at Northern Beaches Hospital. As an Advanced Trainee, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing patients presenting to the department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking a leadership role in coordinating patient admission, assessment, management, and discharge planning.
  • Communicating effectively with other staff involved in patient care.
  • Communicating patient/family information regarding condition and management plans.
  • Coordinating diagnostic tests and consultations with medical specialists.
  • Ensuring seamless patient discharge processes and liaising with local medical officers for optimal post-discharge care.

**Essential Requirements**

  • Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with independence within a supervised complex clinical environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in planning, delivery, and coordination of patient care.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
  • Good organisational and time management skills to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Continuing professional development and commitment to self-education.
  • Previous experience in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
