Clinical Advisor Role

This position involves providing expert medical advice to improve the management of injured workers. Your key responsibilities will include facilitating injured workers' return to work and recovery, aligning with regulations while minimizing risks and time off work. You'll also enhance decision-making, optimize treatment plans, assist in clinical decision-making, and boost the claims team's capabilities.

Your main goals will be to develop and implement strategies to optimize medical management processes and outcomes, conduct peer-to-peer discussions early in the claims process, conduct file reviews, provide clinical opinions on medical strategies, negotiate with treating providers, and provide training and coaching to case managers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., medicine), current registration as an Occupational Physician or General Practitioner, and at least 3 years of clinical experience in occupational health or workers compensation. You should also have a well-established knowledge of disability and injury management, a comprehensive understanding of personal injury legislation, and excellent communication skills.
