**Head of Department - Teaching and Learning**
This is a pivotal leadership role that requires the development, articulation, and commitment to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
The successful candidate will lead the school department in setting high standards for student and staff performance, forming partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
The key responsibilities include leading AIP focus areas of reading and differentiation, embedding the General Capabilities and Cross Curricular Priorities into the curriculum, and aligning the three levels of curriculum planning to the Australian Curriculum and the requirements of the K-12 Framework.
Data analysis, including LOA and NAPLAN, is also a crucial aspect of this role. The Head of Department will lead systematic synthetic phonics and ensure that the curriculum is contextualized and relevant to the needs of all learners.
