Service Operations Leader

The General Manager is a pivotal executive leadership position, accountable for the operational management of water supply services. This encompasses irrigation, groundwater, and rivers across various regions.
You will oversee statutory functions, customer experience, and technology-enabled service delivery. The role requires leading high-performing teams, delivering against strategic plans, and ensuring best practice outcomes in safety, customer service, innovation, and operational excellence.
This key role drives digital innovation, ensuring business continuity through cyber defence oversight. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate across the organization to guide cultural transformation, embed values-driven leadership, and promote agile business practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- A senior leader with extensive experience in operational leadership, ideally within water, utilities, infrastructure, or complex regional service environments.
- Holds a relevant degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a similar field, and may also possess postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA.
- Brings a strong record of driving service reform, managing risk, implementing digital innovation, and navigating diverse stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaboration, delivering measurable outcomes while building a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and high performance.
