City Works Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative leader to lead our operational team in delivering exceptional outcomes for our community. Our goal is to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Hobsons Bay City Council is an environmentally and culturally diverse organisation located just 7km from the CBD. We have over 20km of coastline and foreshore reserves, five creek systems, grasslands and wetlands, contributing significantly to the quality of life for residents and visitors.

The Manager City Works & Amenity will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of operational services relating to city amenity, public waste management, fleet, works, roads and drains, and facilities maintenance across Council. You will lead a large operational team to ensure effective delivery of services in line with the Council Plan and service planning objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Engineering.
  • Extensive people and operational management experience.
  • A high-performance culture within your team.
  • Commitment to building relationships with various stakeholders including contractors and the community.
