AI Systems Strategist

As a senior professional, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of AI systems and solutions. This involves developing a compelling vision, creating a value-based roadmap, and leading quarterly planning sessions to establish objectives and key results (OKRs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business cases for new AI systems and solutions, including value opportunity sizing, delivery models, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct data analysis and user research to define product requirements and features. Document findings clearly to enable development.
  • Build, groom, and prioritize the product backlog. Develop user stories and acceptance criteria to feed into each sprint, and accept sprint results.
  • Define, implement, and track performance metrics once solutions enter production. This includes adoption and impact.
  • In collaboration with technical leadership, define the set of necessary competencies and skills required in the delivery team.
  • Drive user adoption and engagement. Run demos and showcases to target users and the broader business.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in AI & analytics product development or mine operations technical disciplines (mining, blending, supply chain operations) with technical project delivery experience.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and ability to communicate effectively across multiple business areas (operations, technology).
  • Solid business understanding and high-level understanding of product delivery.
  • Modern product development toolkit, including agile development and OKR methodologies, lean testing, user research, and product roadmap development & vision creation.
  • Experience using AI solutions & systems to drive improvements to efficiency and productivity in mining or heavy industrial applications.
