Job Description

Role Summary

Nuveen, A TIAA Company, is seeking an experienced Farmland Analyst to join our team in Central NSW. As a key member of our Central Region team, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of farmland investments through new acquisitions and value-add development strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio management and financial reporting
  • Commodity marketing and farm mapping
  • Maintenance of farm data and records
  • WH&S compliance and ESG initiatives

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Investment, or Management
  • Background or experience in Cropping industries, with a minimum of 2-4 years' experience in Agribusiness Management, Asset Management, or Investment Management
  • Irrigation Industry knowledge is ideal

Desirable Skills

  • Advanced computer skills, including highly proficient in Microsoft 365 desktop applications – in particular Excel
  • Basic understanding of spatial mapping systems, property valuation techniques, farm budgeting tools, agronomic systems, and the rural property sector
  • Financial modelling skills and desire to build competency
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of the broader team
  • Ability to write and present proposals, reports, and research papers
  • Willingness to travel regularly
