Electrical Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Business Development Manager to join our Client Services team in Brisbane, QLD. As the primary point of contact for clients, you will be responsible for cultivating long-term relationships, overseeing various minor projects, and ensuring the delivery of electrical and communication services.

About the Role:

This role involves managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, working under pressure, and upholding high standards to enhance profitability and client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for estimating and tendering on project and service work, ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and projects and service works are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage financial reports and oversee monthly client invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and generate new business within existing accounts.
  • Lead and coordinate project and service teams to maximise efficiency and performance.
  • Understand client needs and objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account status and performance.
  • Resolve client issues and handle complaints in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years post-trade electrical experience.
  • Certificate IV in Project Management or Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
  • Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • Cablers License (Preferred).
  • CPR & LV Rescue Certificate.
  • Construction Industry General Safety Induction.
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role.
  • Previous experience in job estimating and quoting.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) and familiarity with simPRO is considered a plus.
  • Self-motivated, with a results-driven approach.

Salary Range: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
