As a key member of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, you will play a critical role in consolidating a credible record of achievement in:
- Applying whole-of-government policy and frameworks to drive effective decision-making
- Providing procurement and grants advice that meets departmental policies and procedures, as well as the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework
- Supporting the preparation of complex strategic policy, budget, and financial management advice to inform Government decision-making and policy implementation
- Effective stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills to drive results
- Collaborating with the Department of Finance, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and the Treasury to inform Government decision-making
In addition to the key responsibilities, some roles may require:
- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- A Diploma/Cert IV in Procurement and Contract Management
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, IT Systems associated with budget and procurement management (e.g., SAP and CBMS)
