Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to support data delivery and data infrastructure across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines, manage secure and efficient data transfers into our systems, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to support core business functions.

  • Provide ongoing support for data infrastructure, including cloud platforms, data lakes, data marts, and dashboards.
  • Monitor data platform performance and recommend infrastructure enhancements to maintain optimal benchmarks.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines using CI/CD methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of solution designs and big data platform strategies across all environments.
  • Communicate technical updates and project priorities to leadership, including timelines and data technology considerations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in data management across cloud platforms, data lakes, warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Proficient with BI and analytics tools such as Databricks, SQL Server, Power BI, R, and Python.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, big data architecture, data streaming, and virtualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong development skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
