The Digital Workplace Manager is a key role within our team, responsible for overseeing the IT Service Centre and its omnichannels.

This involves managing resources, owning processes, and acting as an escalation point to ensure high-quality, timely customer service.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing teams, driving customer service excellence, and fostering a responsive workplace culture.

They will also be able to undertake trend analysis, interpret data, and produce meaningful management information for accurate operational decision-making.

In addition, they will need to ensure priorities and delivery align with our IT strategy and support university goals, with team members understanding their contribution.

Effectively managing, coaching, and developing staff to meet role specifications by negotiating and agreeing on performance objectives and regularly reviewing individual performance is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have postgraduate level qualifications (or progress towards) in information technology, information systems, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

About You

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage Service Centre People, Process, and Technology effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and high-quality service performance
  • Proactively monitor operations and meet deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities effectively
  • Undertake trend analysis, interpret data, and produce meaningful management information for accurate operational decision-making
  • Ensure priorities and delivery align with IT strategy and support university goals, with team members understanding their contribution
  • Effectively manage, coach, and develop staff to meet role specifications by negotiating and agreeing on performance objectives and regularly reviewing individual performance
  • Actively manage functional operations of the Service Centre for efficient and effective delivery of client-focused support services
  • Manage capacity modelling and forecasting activities using data-driven insights
