Nurse Educator Position

La Trobe University's School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a dedicated academic to contribute to its innovative teaching programs and high-impact research in nursing.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications and experience in care of the older person, rehabilitation or at-home practice. They will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and teaching high-quality learning experiences that engage students through tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, and studio sessions.
The successful applicant will work across all sites associated with the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus and demonstrate a scholarly approach to learning and teaching. They will also contribute to disciplinary teaching pedagogy and research, keeping abreast of innovations in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Excellence: Developing and delivering high-quality teaching programs that cater to diverse student needs
- Research Contribution: Conducting and publishing high-quality research that advances the field of nursing
- Curriculum Development: Contributing to the development of curriculum and teaching methods that promote student engagement and learning outcomes
The incumbent will possess a PhD or a Master's degree plus professional equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the relevant profession as appropriate for the nursing discipline. They will also demonstrate competence in teaching and curriculum development, as well as evidence of high-quality research.
