As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee and direct a team dedicated to the upkeep and engineering of our facilities, ensuring operations align with FMC's best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive performance and foster continuous enhancements to achieve maintenance department goals through both strategic and tactical planning.
  • Assess and refine the preventative maintenance strategy to boost reliability, cost-effectiveness, and equipment availability, employing predictive and preventive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasound, and thermal imaging.
  • Guarantee the consistent availability and regular evaluation of work instructions and standard operating procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Mentor and develop the Maintenance Team to achieve objectives through collaboration, while ensuring effective training and succession planning to promote staff growth and operational performance.
  • Formulate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) plans and assist in their execution.
  • Oversee the collection of Process Safety Information (PSI) and the creation and maintenance of related documentation.
  • Lead or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), applying engineering principles to address health, safety, environmental, and productivity challenges.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and approval of all final design documents, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and drawing releases as part of the Management of Change process.
  • Advocate for weekly safety toolbox talks and support site safety initiatives, participating in other departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient management of contractors, including the execution and administration of small capital expenditure projects and maintenance vendor agreements.
  • Plan and manage the maintenance operational expenditure budget, including capital investments.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in processes and practices, leading the development and execution of small to medium-scale projects in collaboration with the Technical Center.
  • Represent the Maintenance department during audits and engage in both internal and external quality system assessments.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing facilities with an emphasis on reliability.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and coaching to enhance performance.
  • Familiarity with SAP PM module or similar systems.
  • Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Background in managing and executing minor capital projects.
  • Strong collaborative skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies is preferred.
