About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Busways Group. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet.


Responsibilities:



  • Performing repairs on buses and other maintenance activities as required.
  • Overseeing major repair programs, including testing, fault finding, and quality assurance.
  • Conducting functional checks to ensure components are operational and vehicles are fit for service.
  • Providing on-the-job instruction, training, and coaching to staff for maintenance work, inventory requirements, and record documentation.
  • Developing the skills of the workshop team to maximise results.
  • Leading by example, representing the organisation in an honest, ethical, and professional manner according to the Busways Code of Conduct.
  • Maintaining all tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with Busways' standards.
  • Liaising with the Workshop Supervisor regarding buses off the road.
  • Assisting the Workshop Supervisor as needed, including managing leave requests and workshop staff.
  • Ensuring staff have adequate training to perform necessary tasks.
  • Raising purchase orders and processing invoices for payment.
  • Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required.
