Job Title: Food Service Support SpecialistAbout the Role

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service by preparing patient meal trays, taking meal orders, and assisting with food preparation tasks.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must be willing to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster, which may involve weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient meal trays and assist with food preparation tasks.
  • Take meal orders and ensure service with a focus on patient care.
  • Set up and plate dishes; maintain department cleanliness.
  • Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations, infection control, and hospital standards.
  • Dishwashing and general upkeep of the dining and kitchen areas.
Requirements
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Responsive and sensitive to customer information, needs, and wants.
  • Ability to set up and plate meals.
  • Attention to detail and good work ethic.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Reliability, motivation, and a friendly nature.
  • Allergy control awareness.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry desirable.
