About the Role

The Safety Lead is a key position within Primary Connect, responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) system and associated programs and initiatives.

This role is instrumental in partnering with the Operational and SH&W team members to drive change and deliver Primary Connect's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and quality assured safety performance data to business, including supporting external benchmarking activities and analysis of such data.
  • Implement, maintain and improve Safety, Wellbeing and Environment programs, systems, tools and training.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice during change management processes.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to support the investigation of incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions and share investigation learnings to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct first line of defence audits and support close out of any gaps.

What You'll Bring

  • Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice and standards.
  • Incident Investigation experience – ICAM or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver risk assessments and manage change in the delivery of SH&W initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, internally and externally.
  • Consultative and innovative approach to deliver best practice outcomes.
  • Implementation of risk management programs.
