About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the planning, design and implementation of secure and efficient IT networks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

This role involves analysing current network systems, capacity and performance, designing and developing network infrastructure, configuring and installing hardware and software, implementing security measures and monitoring system integrity.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering. They will also have strong coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages and experience with software development methodologies, frameworks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and evaluate current network systems, capacity and performance
  • Design and develop network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, cloud and hybrid environments
  • Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches and monitoring tools
  • Implement security measures, including intrusion detection, encryption protocols and patch management
  • Monitor system integrity, perform troubleshooting and resolve technical faults across enterprise systems
Required Skills:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering
  • Strong coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages
  • Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks and best practices
