Wildlife Conservationist Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Grounds and Ecology Team as a Bush Crew Member.

Our 30-hectare site features indigenous plantings from the local Ecological Vegetation Community, providing a unique relaxation experience for our guests. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in maintaining open spaces and bushland areas, ensuring the preservation and protection of our natural environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the management of indigenous vegetation, focusing on Coastal Alkaline Scrub ecosystems.
  • Developing and implementing biodiversity surveys to monitor and maintain ecosystem balance.
  • Ensuring resources and tools are maintained, stored correctly and available when required.
  • Participating in the review, refinement, and development of processes to enhance team efficiency.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Passion for conservation, indigenous flora, fauna, and fungi.
  • Qualification or experience in conservation and ecosystem management, with a focus on indigenous vegetation and wildlife.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate strong reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in an outdoor environment across all seasons.
