Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead - Solution Design to join our team at Future You. This role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of solutions through solution implementation on existing on-prem and future cloud platforms.

About the Role

  • As a key member of our squad, you will ensure that solutions quality and standards are upheld and adhere to Data Office (DO) delivery, architecture, and design standards.
  • You will have end-to-end vision and see how a logical design translates into process & data solutions through the layered architecture within the Data Office (DO) landscape and Cloud providers application ecosystem.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to deliver, manage, and govern Solution Designs implementation patterns, frameworks, standards, and best practices for data and capability products of Data Office (DO).
  • You will work across multiple Data Office projects, providing direction to delivery teams regarding architecture, solution & design for initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include performing Detailed Solution Designs, Impact Assessments, Costings, and Timelines, contributing to Delivery planning, technical & solution risk management, and maintaining and contributing to continuously improving Data Office's CICD and DevOps framework, processes, tools, and overall IP / documentation.
  • You will explain high-level solutions to stakeholders and map them to requirements, investigate enhancements and change requests, provide awareness of other in-flight projects impacting the solution, and engage multiple parties including customers, group IT peers, and vendors.
  • This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate, facilitate, and influence solution design & delivery approaches to achieve the best value.
  • You will ensure solutions align with Enterprise architecture principles and strategic technology roadmaps.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' industry experience with current solution architecture, design (implementation/consulting) experience.
  • Hands-on experience as a data engineer/solution designer specializing in Big Data, with a focus on real-time and batch code, stitching, data collection, and processing, including curation.
  • Design and implementation experience with building analytical solutions using commercial data platforms.
  • Experience with IP network-related solutions, including IP switching, routing, firewalls, and racking & stacking in a Data Centre environment.
  • At least 2+ years' hands-on experience in analytics & reporting capabilities, including Cloud Engg – Databricks, Azure, GCP or any major cloud providers, Big Data – Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Spark (Scala/Python), Spark Streaming, Apache/Confluent Kafka, Scheduler – Control-M, Airflow, CICD tools – GitHub, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, and associated supporting technologies – Unix Shell, crontab, IP networking, routing & switching, firewalls, and hardware rack & stack.
