About the Role


My People Solutions is seeking an experienced Specialist Support Coordinator to join our team in Mulgrave, Melbourne. As a Specialist Support Coordinator, you will work closely with clients with complex support needs, ensuring they receive the best possible services from large multi-disciplinary teams.


The role is based in modern offices in Mulgrave and is available as either full-time or part-time (hours/days to be agreed). You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly engage and gain trust with a diverse group of people.


This position requires attention to detail, good time management skills, and the ability to work to deadlines. You will also need to ensure reporting requirements are completed as per NDIS guidelines, answer client enquiries in a timely manner, and manage client records via Brevity Care.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain a deep understanding of each client's NDIS plan and goals, aligning the coordination of supports and multi-disciplinary teams to build capacity and meet individual needs.
  • Triage new client referrals, when required, and seek alternative service providers if not the best fit for the company.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members to grow and develop in their roles.
  • Utilize existing contacts and networks to expand the Support Coordination team's client portfolio.
  • Manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain full competence with computer systems, apps, and other technology relevant to the role.

Requirements



  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a Specialist Support Coordination NDIS role.
  • A degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, allied health, community services, or mental health.
  • Experience working with complex disabilities, high-intensity care, including mental health and psychosocial disabilities, autism & ADHD, housing, or leaving school.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to deliver information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, apps, and other technology relevant to the role.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
