**Job Summary**
Hooker & Heijden is seeking a seasoned claims professional to manage a personal portfolio of liability claims. As a recognized leader in claims management, this role requires a depth of experience in PI & Med Mal or Public and Products Liability policies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage a portfolio of liability claims, including effective liability assessment, assessment and justification of reserves, and developing a strategy for claim resolution.
- Oversee trust accounts, including payment of legal invoices and settlements.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and regular reports and updates.
- Perform administrative and communicative duties associated with claims management.
- Maintain compliance with policy and procedure through effective use of IT systems and services, and superior knowledge of insurance policy, application, and coverage.
- Contribute to company goals by supporting stakeholder development and team members as required.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Solicitor or claims examiner with local or international liability claims experience.
- Strong understanding of liability claims management, including PI & Med Mal or Public and Products Liability policies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
