We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Department care and be proficient in using electronic medical records.
About the Role:We have multiple contracts available across various healthcare settings in Queensland, ranging from 4-12 weeks with potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional nursing care in the Emergency Department, handling a variety of urgent and critical cases.
- Utilizing electronic medical records to accurately document patient information and manage medical records.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and streamlined operations.
- Performing assessments, administering treatments, and managing patient care in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and patient care.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records or similar systems.
- ALS, BLS, Resuscitation, and Triage certificates.
- Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK).
- Manual and patient handling.
- Infection control.
- Aggressive behavior management.
- Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses and/or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect.
- Medications management, including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations.
- AHPRA Registration (must be current).
- National Police Check.
- Australian Immunisation History.
- Integrated electronic medical record training.
- Online induction training.
- Any other training as requested.
- Travel and accommodation provided (T&C's apply).
