Wine Laboratory Specialist

This key role is instrumental in ensuring the quality of wine products by accurately and efficiently conducting laboratory analyses across various stages of production.
As a Wine Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, preparing, and testing wine samples, maintaining precise calibration of laboratory equipment, and recording analytical results with utmost accuracy.
The position involves performing routine chemical and microbiological analyses, adhering to stringent quality and safety protocols, and upholding product integrity.
- Conduct regular laboratory tests (e.g. Sulphur Dioxide, pH/TA analysis)
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment according to established standards
- Record and report analytical results accurately and in a timely manner
- Operate laboratory equipment and perform tests that require attention to detail and adherence to control limits
- Work under close supervision, with autonomy for specific tasks and responsibility for own outputs
- Collaborate with team members and take ownership of work outputs
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
You will be working in a NATA-accredited laboratory and must adhere to BRC, HACCP, and NATA guidelines.
What You'll Bring:- A strong foundation in chemistry and mathematics, preferably at SACE stage 2 level
- A Certificate II in Sampling and Measurement or equivalent qualification
- The ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, as required
