As a laboratory technician in our winery in South Australia, you will play a vital role in supporting the winemaking process. This involves accurate and timely execution of laboratory analyses.

Laboratory technicians are responsible for collecting, preparing, and testing wine samples across all stages of production from grape intake to final bottling. You will be working within a NATA-accredited laboratory conducting chemical and microbiological analyses, maintaining precise calibration of laboratory equipment, and ensuring all data is accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Performing routine laboratory tests such as Sulphur Dioxide and pH/TA analysis
  • Calibrating and maintaining lab equipment
  • Recording and reporting analytical results accurately
  • Operating laboratory equipment and performing tests that involve a narrow range of variables and easily recognised control limits
  • Working under close supervision with autonomy for specific tasks and responsibility for own outputs
  • Collaborating with a team and having responsibility for your own work outputs
  • Maintaining laboratory hygiene and orderliness
What You'll Bring:
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and maths
  • Certificate II in Sampling and Measurement or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work shifts and weekends, including flexibility to work across multiple laboratory areas and shift schedules
  • Capacity to perform a range of tasks where choice between a limited range of options is required
  • Assessing and recording information from varied sources
