Executive Chef Opportunity

Imagine a career as an Executive Chef in a premium fine dining steakhouse on the north coast of New South Wales, with Byron Bay or close surrounding areas as your home. We are seeking a skilled kitchen professional to join our team at Ember Byron Bay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Assist in planning menus and determining food quantities and costs.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency.
  • Manage and train cooks and kitchenhands in food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety.
  • Order and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring it meets daily production needs.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes.
  • Cordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient food service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Certificate 3 in hospitality.
  • Basic food handling certificate.
