Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Research Officer to contribute to delivering innovative solutions for the livestock industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine animal handling or operational tasks under general supervision, utilizing developed skills and experience.
  • Design and execute research protocols to achieve project objectives.
  • Gather samples according to defined standards and ensure proper storage and identification.
  • Identify and report anomalies and co-design solutions where necessary.
  • Assist in setting up experiments, monitor results, summarize data, and record outcomes.
  • Develop new processes or apparatus by adapting existing techniques and components to meet specific needs or undertake modifications requiring innovation.
  • Foster effective communication with all stakeholders, including staff, clients, and suppliers, in the interest of good business practice and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary level degree or equivalent relevant work experience in livestock husbandry.
  • Demonstrated livestock expertise; general knowledge of husbandry and animal behavior.
  • Precise record keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in data entry and analysis software.
  • A valid driver's license.
