As a Team Leader in our Behaviour Support team, you will guide behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality services to clients. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing coaching and mentoring to behaviour support practitioners and reviewing positive behaviour support plans
  • Fostering a collaborative approach to evaluating service delivery
  • Tracking team goals and objectives and participating in annual performance reviews
  • Developing partnerships with service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
  • Offering expert advice on evidence-based methods to reduce challenging behaviour

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A completed degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related field
  • Endorsement as a Proficient Practitioner or ability to be endorsed
  • Experience mentoring BSPs or leadership/management experience in human services, including disability, health, family support, or similar areas
  • Knowledge of contemporary practices and philosophies in service provision for people with disabilities
