About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at ILS Case Management & Rehabilitation Solutions. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to a young lady with a brain injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and domestic support to the young lady, including assistance with daily living tasks, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support the young lady with her therapy programs and accompany her to appointments as needed.
  • Assist with homework and educational activities to promote independence and learning.
  • Encourage and support the young lady's interests and hobbies, such as sports and baking.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the young lady, promoting a sense of well-being and happiness.
Requirements
  • Female due to providing personal care.
  • Experience working with children with brain injuries or mental health issues.
  • Confident and comfortable working in a home environment and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the young lady and her family.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment and passion for meeting the young lady's needs.
  • Empathy and understanding in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Team player who understands the importance of feedback to qualified members of the team.
  • Ability to develop productive and professional relationships with others.
  • Actively creates an inclusive environment respecting diversity.
  • Good organisational skills who can adhere to standards and quality requirements.
  • Friendly, approachable with a proactive and encouraging approach.
  • Water confident to assist with swimming.
  • Punctual, patient, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to maintain an excellent level of confidentiality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and IT literate.
  • Able to think creatively and use initiative.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and cover shifts, sometimes at short notice.
  • A full driving license (endorsements to be disclosed).
